A little owl art

Sometimes I am a little slow to get in on a trend. I've seen birds and owls around for a while and didn't care for them too much at first. But I've been slowly breaking down and now I love owls. What better way to celebrate my new love then to make a little somethin' somethin' to display.

Here are the supplies I used:
  • tan polka dot scrapbook paper
  • scraps of brown and cream cardstock
  • a dictionary
  • circle punches
  • circle cutter
  • 12 x 12 piece of wood painted white
My design is inspired by this stamp from Hampton Art and an owl in the Stampin' Up catalog.
I hand drew the owl base and belly...
and inked the edges of all the paper and the wood.
I used circle punches and a circle cutter for the eyes and hand cut the nose and feet.
 Love those little feeties!
His name is Norbert!
