Get to know you games

When a group of people get together,
there's always that awkward period
of getting to know each other.

Here are some ideas for easy
games that make
getting to know
one another much easier!

group games to get to know each other

I was recently called to be the
Young Women's President in my ward.
Holy cow- talk about overwhelmed!
But I am loving it too!

In an effort to get to know the
sweet young women
in my ward better,
we played get to know you games
at our last several
 YW activities.

The girls seemed to really
like the games and
we all enjoyed getting to
know one another better!

group games, youth group games, young women games, get to know you games

This is a "know your neighbor"
game.

I wrote down a bunch of questions
on pieces of paper.
The person who was "it" picked a question,
thought about their answers,
then wrote it down
on the dry erase board
without showing the rest of the people.

Then the one who was it,
read the question to the group
and we had to guess
what her answer was.

m and m game, answer questions game, get to know your neighbor game, group get to know you games, group games

This is the M and M game

I bought a few bags of M and M's
and poured them into a bowl.
Each girl in the group scooped a cupful.

When it was her turn,
she reached into her cup
and grabbed a single M and M.
She then answered a question
based that corresponded  with
whichever color she grabbed.

This game was so much fun!!

The girls (and the leaders)
enjoyed snacking on the treats as we played.

easy get to know you games - m and m game, know your neighbor game

The games were such a hit
that I think I'll keep them in my
back pocket to play
every now and then.

These games would also make perfect
games for birthday parties,
back to school,
or within our families for
 FHE or family night.

  8. Head's up! Obama has put a kibosh to any candy in the classroom! Snacks have strict guidelines to be followed and Distircts could be fined for being out of compliance. I heard the first offense could be $7000.00. Food in cafeteria must also follow specifics as to content, fat grams etc.

  16. Great idea with the M & M's EXCEPT for the kids with a peanut allergy--they are in the ingredient list.
Maybe Skittles instead? Safe for everyone!!:)
