A few weeks ago, I was in charge of decorating for a large party for my church.
We call them Ward Parties.
Everyone in the congregation is invited.
Since it involves dinner, all of our budget goes toward providing the meal.
So I had to get creative with decorating and come up with things
that cost little to no money.
I got so busy setting everything up that I forgot to take pictures,
except for a few I snapped with my phone.
These are the tables all set up.
Close up of the table decor.
These branches were very simple, inexpensive and packed a big punch.
I gathered branches from my yard.
Then hot glued pom poms (amazon affiliate link) randomly to the branches.
Then I tucked them into glass jars filled with colored shred.
I wanted something cute and colorful underneath each centerpiece,
so I used these bandannas I found at Walmart.
Darling colors and patterns and only $1 each. Score!!
Behind the food table I hung a DIY cupcake flower garland.
The Spring banner is from Target last year.
I got the tutorial from here.
I bought large and small colored cupcake liners, trimmed and layered them, then stuck
them on a short strand of Christmas lights.
I made tissue paper flowers to sprinkle around the walls.
Gotta make those carpeted walls try to look a little better! :)
I bought a package of tissue paper with several different colors.
I put 2 sheets together, then folded it in half length wise and then width wise,
until it made a square.
Then I traced a flower pattern on top and cut the tissue paper flowers out.
I put a dollop of glue in between the layers to keep them together.
I scrunched the top layer up to look like a flower center.
I used straight pins to attach them to the wall.
Pretty, colorful Spring decor!!
