Living Room refresh for summer

Today I'm sharing our living room refreshed for summer!

We don't have a foyer, so the first room you see when you come to our
 home is the Living Room.

I recently repainted our Living Room.

I used Revere Pewter color matched to Behr paint.
It's not a huge difference, but I love that the yellowness of the previous paint
is now gone.
Revere Pewter is a warm grayish, beigy color.  It's perfect!

The paint takes on different tones, in different light through out the day.

I like the way it looks with our board and batten molding.

Decorating with family photos is my most favorite!
Adorning my walls with photos of my loved ones beat any other art any day!

For this display I stained a 1" x 12" by about 3ft board.
Then I dry brushed some acrylic paint over the top.
Then I attached some gold clips (similar here- amazon affiliate link)
The gold clips hold photos of my kids that I had mounted on matte board.

This display sits next to my blue recovered chairs.

Check out the DIY instructions here.

Above the board and batten is my collection of vintage windows.
Some I have purchased and some I received from friends and family.

I made some new covers for my throw pillows from coral napkins.

On our open industrial bookshelf I put my collection of lock boxes,
my bookpage photo holder and my beloved Heidi Swapp light box with a summer message.

On the other side is our Media Center.

Our home is all dressed up and ready for summer!
Bring on the lazy summer days, swimming and staying up late watching movies!!
