Holy cow, how can today be the last day of the month.
October seemed to just fly by.

.....................

At the end of every month I recap
-what we did,
-that months blog posts,
-check in on my goals that I set
-and set new goals for the next month!

.....................

What we did

The weather has cooled off a bit
so we've spent lots of time outside.
My little one has
been riding his razor bike*.

I made Metal Tumblers (similar here*)
for the High School Football Team.
I cut vinyl with each player's
number on a helmet.

We had a blast on Fall Break.
On on of the days we went to
downtown Nashville and explored
some of the murals.

We've really enjoyed the sunsets
from the high school football field!

But we have not enjoyed the
crazy weather during some
of the football games.

Goals

Personal
October
-get into a good morning routine after waking up
-go for a walk or get other exercise daily
-continue writing in my journal
- go to bed earlier (this will probably always be on there)
-try to erase busyness from my vocabulary

results:
I still despise getting out of bed in the morning.
Especially now that it's dark and COLD!

I have been working really hard to exercise every day.

I've been better at prioritizing how I spend my
time and how to make and keep boundaries.

And I got a pedicure.

Goals for November
*set morning goals, night before
(scripture study, time for reflection, to do list)
*do something to take care of myself, once a week
*listen to or read one self help book a week

....................

Family
-have a great time on Fall Break
-eat dinner together as much as possible
-have game nights on Sunday evening
-Facetime with extended family

results:
We had a blast on Fall Break.

We eat dinner together almost every night.

We are hoping to start up game nights
this week.

I Facetimed my niece (and those in her family)
on her birthday.

Goals for November
*Date night for my husband and me
*play after school with Kannon
*feed kids an after school snack

....................

House
October
-get my house decorated for Fall/Halloween
-finish the redo in my boys' room
-paint the boys' room and Addi's room
- clean and reorganize my craft room

results:
I decorated my house for fall/halloween
I did none of the other things.

I did, however, find a new rug (from Kirkland's) for my front door.
The rest of the goals will
probably have to wait until after Christmas.

Goals for November
*evaluate serving dishes (and buy new if necessary)
for Thanksgiving
*get new glassware
*get a new Christmas Tree

....................

Blog

I think they will always be a work in progress!

*use specific hours, or office hours, to accomplish blog work
