It is at this time that I like to give my kids a little something for Back to School Encouragement!
My kids came home from school yesterday tired and grumpy. They had homework, one still hasn't figured out how to open his locker (which feels like the end of the world to an anxious 6th grader), and the other was feeling all the friend feels. Bless them!
School is hard. There are new students, teachers and classes to get used to, different lunch times, challenging subjects and just trying to get used to and keep up with it all. I tell my kids all the time that they can do hard things, but it always helps to know that someone (me) is in their corner, cheering them along.
To show my support, I whipped up some encouragement with my kids favorite treats.
After printing the handouts, I used a paper clip to attach them to the candy bags. For the M&M box, I tied a ribbon around the box and clipped the handout to the ribbon with a clothespin.
Back To School Encouragement Treat Printables
Today when my kids get home from school grouchy and tired, they will at least have a treat and some encouragement waiting for them. Even though my oldest hasn't started college yet, I made him one too.
These Back to School Encouragement Treats would make a great gift for anyone including teachers and friends!
