October is such a fun month for antique lovers — everyone’s looking for that perfect piece to cozy up their home before the holidays. I always enjoy watching shoppers smile as they find a vintage pumpkin that reminds them of childhood or a piece of décor that fits perfectly in their fall home. Check out What I Took to My Antique Booth in October.
October is one of my favorite months to decorate my antique booth! The change of seasons always brings new energy, cozy colors, and fun holiday themes. As the weather cools down and shoppers have already been thinking of Halloween for a while but are now starting to think about Thanksgiving and even (prepare yourself) Christmas! I love giving my booth a refresh that feels warm, nostalgic, and holiday ready.
This month I placed several primitive furniture pieces to anchor my booth. I took in the top of an antique step back cabinet and a industrial shoe cart. I sold the cabinet pretty quickly. But while it was there it was a great place to display some of my ironstone collection.
Mid October most customers were done with Halloween so I added a bunch of Thanksgiving decor along with books, plates and platters.
In the little alley in my booth, I stacked an open back cubby on top of a little cupboard. It changed the look and gave me lots of display space!
Don't get upset, but I added some Christmas. You know in retail the holidays come quickly. I brought it some Santa mugs and some Santa figurines.
In my other booth I kept up the fall theme with orange mugs and tea pot, pumpkins and fall florals.
I also added a few vintage cameras along with the fall decor.
I loved decorating for fall but am really looking forward to going all out for Christmas! We all know it's the BEST holiday to decorate for! See ya next month!
