Flooding in Nashville

It feels really wrong to be sitting here in my air conditioned house, drinking a Diet Mtn Dew blogging when the Nashville area looks like this. This is around 2nd street in downtown Nashville. After about 12 inches of rain over the weekend, all of the lakes and rivers in the area have overflowed their banks. All 3 of the major interstates had parts that were shut down. There were cars floating down the interstate at one point on Saturday. My kids have been out of school for the past 2 days (which they think is awesome!) Opry Mills mall and Gaylord Opryland hotel are majorly flooded. Many homes and business all over the area are flooded clear up to the ceiling. Our town, about 30 miles outside of Nashville, had some flooding as well. But not even close to what other towns have experienced. And our house had no damage whatsoever. We feel so blessed and are praying for the people that are affected!
