July is Harry Potter month.
And that's something I always celebrate.
This year I made an Alohomora Key Holder.
If you've been around a while, then you
know I'm a huge Harry Potter fan!

This year I made an Alohomora key holder.
For any non- Harry Potter folks (if there are any such people)
Alohomora is a spell that means UNLOCK.
I used a 1 x 4 piece of wood.
I painted it white with white acrylic paint.
I cut vinyl with my die cut machine.
Then I sprayed over the top of everything with black spray paint*.
I left the sign outside for the paint to dry.
It's so crazy hot here in TN right now
that it made the vinyl curl. So funny!
I distressed the sign
with a mouse sander. similar here*.
I used large picture hooks*.
These ones were already gold so I kept them
that color.
I glued them on with E6000*
then hit a nail into the hole.
I used a smaller nail than the one pictured.
I hung the sign inside our back door.
Everyone in our family now has a spot to hang their keys.
It's funny how having a spot to hang your keys,
means that you always know where they are. Crazy right?
I love our cute little
Alohomora Harry Potter Sign Key Holder!
