Easy ways to Prepare Now for Christmas!
I know it seems early,
but it's time to start thinking about the upcoming holiday!
Today I have some easy ways to
prepare now for Christmas!
Buy Gift Cards
Every time you go to the store,
buy an extra gift card.
You can put the gift cards toward Christmas gifts,
or even use them for groceries or meals during Christmas time.
Buy Christmas items
As you see items through out the year,
buy them.
I found these vintage bulbs and Santa mugs
at Goodwill this week.
Find Inspiration
Keep magazines from
past holidays to glean ideas from.
And it's always fun to pick up a few new ones
every year as well!
Keep a List
Keep an ongoing Christmas list.
I keep one in my iPhone.
I have a list of everyone I buy gifts for
and ideas for gifts.
I also keep track of what I've purchased.
Did you know that you can pass-code lock your iPhone?
In the note, push the square with the arrow in the
upper right hand corner.
When the menu comes up from the bottom,
push lock note.
Then put in a pass-code.
Credit Card Points
Use a credit card through out the
year that has credit card points.
At Christmas time,
cash in those points to buy gifts or
gift cards to use as Christmas gifts.
Get cash back from purchases
You can get cash back from ibotta and other sites.
These sites pay you for
products you buy anyway.
Use the code { nvheahb }
to sign up for ibotta.
You will get $10 just for signing up
and I will get a referral bonus.

Deleteyeah the shopping early spreads out the stress and the finances. I'd really like to get working on xmas this November. I always say I should work on the cards before Thanksgiving as well! http://www.mommatogo.com
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get my shopping done earlier too!
DeleteThese are such great ideas!! The older I get the more I want to get involved in Christmas, in the sense of me giving rather than just receiving. Since I moved out for college I have a new excitement because now I can decorate my own tree and celebrate the Christmas spirit while at college but go home for the week of Christmas. I love the tip of buying gift cards. It's so clever. It's like purposefully putting money aside. Also, if you get them from gift card granny you can save a lot of money :) Thanks for the great post!
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch Gabriella!

ReplyDeleteThese are all great tips! I'm so ready for the holidays. It snowed yesterday and the snow is already melting, but seeing it on the pine trees totally put me in the Christmas spirit!
