Embroidery Hoop Spider Webs
and Halloween Mantel
I started with a regular old embroidery hoop.
I bought this one at Walmart.
You can find them at just about any craft store.
I had these felt spider webs in my stash.
I purchased them from the dollar store last year.
My husband doesn't believe this,
but my holiday decor hoarding tendencies come in handy.
So my lesson is,
if you see something you like, buy it.
You can find something to do with it later. :)
I also used this creepy cloth.
It is readily available everywhere in Halloween decor.
I also had these vintage metal embroidery hoops
in my stash. (bought them when I saw them at Goodwill)
I put the creepy cloth inside them.
Then I used inexpensive plastic spiders to adorn them.
The felt spider webs fit so well and look awesome.
I used glow in the dark plastic spiders to decorate the web.
To hang the embroidery hoops,
I hung them from a stick pin that is directly in the wall.
The hoops are light enough that this works really well.
I hung a series of 6 decorated,
embroidery hoops for my mantel.
I added vintage spindle candle sticks and pumpkins.
Underneath, I hung trick or treat bags I made with freezer paper.
