End of the Month, July Favorites and Inspiration

Y'all, it's the last day of July!
Summer is coming to a close
and my kids start school next week!

Today I'm looking back at

July was a very full month for our family!

We went to downtown Nashville
for the huge Independence Day celebration.

Nashville is such an amazing place!
Where else would you see a free Chris Janson concert
on Broadway with 100,000 of your closest
friends in 95* weather?

The fireworks show blows me away
every year!
If you ever get the chance to go
to the fireworks show,
you absolutely should!

My daughter went to Japan on a student exchange
trip for 2 weeks.
So a good chunk of our summer was spent
preparing for her to go.
She had the time of her life
and experienced so many things,
including going to school with her host student.

Of course our summer included many
trips to Sonic for refreshment!

Summer also means the start of high school
football practice, which
is no joke!
This kid practices every day in the Tennessee
heat and humidity.
His poor arms have taken quite a few
helmet hits!

July Favorite Products

Every month I keep my eyes open for
products to make life easier.

As I stated above,
my daughter spent 2 weeks in Japan.
The following products were
items that she took with her on the long journey.

For her really long flight (12+ hours)
these compression socks
keep my daughter's legs from
swelling and kept her feet warm.

This neck pillow was wonderful
on that long flight.
My daughter loved it because it
helped her to be comfortable
so she could rest.

The number one thing that helped
my daughter pack for 2 weeks in Japan,
with only 1 piece of luggage were compression bags.
We were able to fit all of her clothing
into them and it only took up a few inches of space.

These packing cubes made packing everything else
that didn't fit in the compression bags
so much easier.
