How to make a Personalized Pencil Pouch- canvas zipper bag made with glitter paint and fabric paint

I found this plain canvas pouch at Hobby Lobby.

I made a design and cut it out with my silhouette in freezer paper.

{Here is the secret to cut freezer paper with the Silhouette}

After finishing the design you want to cut out,

1.  Flip the design horizontally
2.  Load the paper on the cutting mat shiny side up.
3.  Cut freezer paper with the vellum setting.

The freezer paper is now a stencil.  The shiny side is wax and it melts onto the fabric with an iron.
Pull the freezer paper stencil off the cutting mat and discard the letters.  Make sure to keep the inner letter pieces like for O, P, R, etc.

Iron the stencil onto the canvas bag using a medium heat setting.  Make sure to carefully iron the little bitty pieces that go inside the round letters.

Using fabric paint and a sponge pouncer dab the paint onto the word.  Pouncing will keep the paint from bleeding underneath the stencil.

For the other part of the saying, I used glitter and adhesive for fabric.

I covered the painted portion with a paper towel so it wouldn't get glitter on it.

The adhesive package says to let the piece lie flat for 2 hours to dry.

Then brush off the excess glitter and peel the freezer paper off.

I used a tiny paint brush to remove the errant glitter.
