Do you have a hard time finding the perfect gift for the people on your Christmas list?  It is something that I struggle with every year.  And gift giving is made even harder by being so far away from my family.  This year I am getting my nieces and nephews exactly what they want - CASH!  But just because I'm giving them money doesn't mean I'm not putting effort into their gifts.  This year I have come up with 4 creative ways to gift money as Christmas gifts.

Supplies to make 4 creative money gifts

Ornament

Clear plastic or glass ornaments are available at just about any craft store, or even the dollar store.  They make the perfect vessel to hold a bunch of rolled up cash!  I saw the idea on Pinterest, but could not find the original source.

Take the top off the clear ornament.  You can use plastic or glass ornaments.

Place top back onto ornament.  Tie ribbons and gift tag around the hanger.

Balloons

Balloons could not be easier to find at the store!  This makes a very cost effective gift that is super fun too!  I originally gave Birthday Balloons to my nephew many years ago.  They were a hit then and would sure be a hit for Christmas as well!

Everyone in my family loves Christmas socks.  So socks make the perfect gift to stuff a few bills in to!

  3. These are all such cute ideas.. my brother in law once got me a loaf of bread and stuck a $1 bill in-between each slice of bread for some "dough." I thought that was pretty clever too. Pinned.
