Make this simple Rustic Christmas Tree for your Christmas Home Décor.
I can't get enough of Christmas décor. I especially like to DIY one-of-a-kind Christmas Décor. And I especially, especially like to use things that I already have to make that one of a kind Christmas Décor!!
My process for coming up with new projects is to stare at my stash of stuff and imagine the possibilities. This project, Rustic Christmas Trees, came from the need to use some of my stash.
- Wooden Table Leg. I've had a table leg in my garage for a long time. (Sometimes it takes me a while to find the right projects for my treasures.) I cut a few 4 x 4 blocks and then had a 4 x 8 piece with a wooden top and sanded them down.
- small Christmas Trees. I bought several small Christmas Trees at Dollar Tree.
If you want to make rustic Christmas trees and don't have a ton of stuff in your stash, you can use these supplies:
At the bottom of the Christmas Tree, the stand holder pulls right off the stem of the Christmas tree.
To find the center of the wooden block, use a ruler to draw a straight line from each of the corners to the other. Where they meet in the middle he middle, is the center of the block. Drill a hole with a 5/16" drill bit, since that is the same size of the pole of the Christmas tree.
Once the hole is drilled, sand the pencil marks off the wood. Then place a glob of hot glue in the hole and put the tree into the wooden block.
Arrange the branches of the Christmas tree to look like a Charlie Brown tree.
I drilled the hole a bit longer on the 4 x 8 and placed the tree further inside.
These Rustic Christmas Trees turned out so cute! And I was able to use up some of my stash. Don't worry though, I still have a TON of stuff to make lots more good stuff with.
