How to Make Rustic Snowman
How to put together a Rustic Snowman
- Drill a hole in the base either the same size as the dowel or slightly smaller.
- Put a dab of hot glue into the drilled hole and tap the dowel into the hole with a hammer.
- Feed Styrofoam balls onto dowel, hot gluing them in place.
- Drape 2 layers of fabric over the Styrofoam ball forms, each piece measruing about 8" x 14".
- Tie cotton twine in between each ball, holding the fabric in place.
- Use a black fabric marker to draw oval eyes onto the face of the snowman.
- Use an orange fabric marker to draw a triangle for a carrot nose.
- Hot glue 3 buttons on the chest of the snowman.
- Tie a scrap of plaid fabric around the neck of the snowman.
- Using sharp scissors, poke a hole in the fabric and into the side of the middle Styrofoam ball.
- Dab a bit of hot glue onto the ends of the twigs and shove them into the hole.
- Make a sign for the snowman with scrabble letters.
- Hot glue letters to scrap of paper.
- Hot glue twine to the sign to hold it around the snowman's base
- Place snowman onto a platter and sprinkle with faux snow.
- Stand back and admire your handiwork. This is a most important step.
