Bottle brush trees have been super popular over the past few years. The vintage ones are next to impossible to find but luckily a lot of big box stores have been selling new reproductions. I have been decorating with them for a while because they are just so darn cute!
How to Create Bottle Brush Trees on Jello Molds
This year I decided to combine my beloved bottle brush trees with some vintage, after being inspired by a photo I saw in a magazine.
And just last month at the flea market, I found a stack of vintage jello molds. I know right? It was meant to be!
I always love projects that combine vintage and modern projects. And this project checks those boxes!
For the small bottle brush trees, it needed something in between the tree and the jello mold. I grabbed some shatterproof ornaments that I took the tops off and glued a small tree into the ornament. I then glued the ornament onto the jello mold with a glue gun.
For the large bottle brush trees, they came with a wooden base. I simply glued that base directly to the jello mold. Then I tied either a scrap of lace or a scrap of flannel around the wooden base.
I'm going with a plaid theme in my Christmas decorations this year. I'll be showing how I am using plaid in upcoming posts.
Bottle Brush Trees on Vintage Jello Molds are a super fun way to combine vintage and modern for Christmas decorations this year!
