If you're looking for ways to remember your family's day to day activities, make a memory planner. It's super easy to record small moments. I'll show you how I did it for 2022 and how I plan to continue for 2023.

I have been using a planner for many years. And I've been a scrapbooker for even more years. So last year I decided to combine them both and make a book to collect memories and embellish it with my beloved scrapbook supplies.
How to Make a Yearly Memory Planner
First thing you need is a planner. Last year I grabbed a blank spiral bound calendar book from Target. (similar here)
I liked that it was blank so I could fill it in as I wished. I used these pens to write in the planner and they don't bleed to the other side. I filled my planner with:
- activities we did
- holidays
- birthdays
- what we had for dinner
- cleaning
- appointments
- places we went
- vacations and what we did on them
You know, the normal day to day things that go on in a family.
Sometimes I used the blank sheet to keep track of my to do list to keep me on track. Then I embellished the other side to jazz them up a bit with various stickers.
I keep a bunch of supplies in my desk drawer so I have easy access to it. I have planner stickers like these, washi tape, stamps and various other stickers that I picked up at the craft store. (Stickers are 40% off almost every other week at Hobby Lobby)
At the end of every week, I made a collage on my phone using the PicFrame app with photos taken through out the week. I then printed them on regular printer paper and added them to my memory planner.
Looking back through my 2022 book makes me so happy. It may seem silly to some, but I love remembering how we spent our days, the meals we had, the errands ran, school activities and so much more. I love my Memory Planner for 2022.
How I will collect memories in 2023
I will be doing something similar in 2023. I am creating my own blank planner book that I'm testing out right now. Hopefully I will have it done next week to post about.
