What could anyone possibly do with a small jelly jar and a faux crystal plate?

You can put them together to make DIY candle holders, cupcake stands and cloches.

Use strong glue, if you want the glass pieces to stick together permanently, or hot glue if you want a temporary hold.

Use cans to add some weight to the pieces as glue dries.

Once the glue is dried, you have small stands that can be used to hold candles, cupcakes or anything else small.

To make a cloche, glue a glass cabinet pull to the bottom of a thrift store glass vase.  Once the glue dries, it's strong enough to use as a handle to lift the vase, now cloche.  For smaller cloches, use clear glass beads.

For a Thanksgiving table centerpiece, I filled the candle holders and cloches with candles- of course,
mini pumpkins, popcorn, a beautiful fall leaf held by a clothespin, and a cute turkey medallion.

I also added a strand of warm white fairy lights.

I also put together a Christmas table centerpiece.

For the Christmas display I used, various Christmas scrapbook supplies- similar heremini Christmas trees, candles, a Santa figurine, Christmas bells, vintage wire bound numbers, Scrabble letters and epsom salt for snow.  I also used boxwood boughs (clipped from my bushes) and fairy lights.

This little toy car is one that my husband played with as a child.  I tied a mini tree to it with bakers twine.
