As I stated in this post, my son graduated from High School last week! We had a great time as we partied and celebrated with our friends and family. And now I'm super excited to share some of the party details on my blog.
My son is getting ready to go off to college so he's in need of all sorts of advice at this pivotal time in his life. All of the people that love and care about him, came to celebrate with him at his party. Which made it the perfect time to offer advice to him. I whipped up a quick and easy jar to collect the advice.
How to make a Quick and Easy Advice Jar for a Graduation Party
Supplies needed
- glass jar with screw top lid
- cardstock
- brad fasteners
- floss
- hot glue
- vinyl and a machine to cut vinyl
Cut cardstock into pieces: 6 inch square and 2 inch strips
Hot glue strips to lid of jar to create circle.
Attach brad fastener to center of 6" square of cardstock. Make a tassel (with this tutorial) from floss and attach to brad.
Hot glue 6" square of cardstock to the lid, making a graduation cap.
Set out pens and paper for guests to give advice to the graduate.
My son read through each and every one of the cards that his guests were so kind to fill out. He was so touched by all of the advice given! This Graduation Advice Jar was a great addition to his graduation party!
