How to make a Grapevine Wreath for Fall
Gather Supplies for wreath
Supplies for Fall Grapevine Wreath
Place wreath on a flat surface. Cut down leaf stems and stick into grapevine wreath. No need to glue. Just stick the leaf stem between the grapevine. Repeat until wreath is covered with leaves. This wreath took about 2 bushes of fall stems. Then randomly place berries into the places on the wreath that need some pizzazz.
Wrap floral wire through the branches of the grapevine and make a look for hanging.
How to make a canvas flag for Fall Wreath
This is such a great way to decorate a grapevine wreath and I love the way it looks. But wanted to add a welcome flag. I typed up a document in Word with the sentiment and in the font I wanted. Then printed it on regular copy paper.
I taped the paper on a window of my house. A sunny window makes a great makeshift lightbox. I taped the canvas flag over the top of the letters. The light made it so I could see the letters through the canvas and trace them with a fabric marker.
I then moved the flag to a flat surface and touched up and accented the letters.
To embellish the wreath even more, I made a junk bow, tutorial here, with various ribbons and attached the bow and flag to wreath. Embellish flag with mini leaves or plastic spiders.
Hang wreath on your front door and enjoy!
