If you've been here a while, then you know I love decorating my home- it's my favorite thing! I go to bed thinking of home décor and wake up ready to create new looks in my home. But when I hang things on my wall, I do so apprehensively because of how often I change things up. Having to fix holes in the wall is not a fun job!
Creating a Clipboard Collage is the perfect solution because the art is very easily changed out when I'm ready for a new look.
How to Create a Clipboard Collage on your Wall
Step 1: Collect Clipboards. I found my clipboards at the thrift store. I like to get them 2nd hand because they are aged and distressed. You can also use brand new clipboards.
Step 2: Download and Print Printables. Etsy is the perfect place to get amazing seasonal images for just about any look you are going for. I used floral and patriotic images. I love using etsy because it supports small businesses and you don't have to wait for them to be shipped! You download a zipped up file from Etsy, extract the images and can print them immediately! I print mine on white cardstock.
Step 3: Hang Clipboards on Wall. I use command velcro (These are cut in half but wouldn't necessarily recommend doing that, haha) to hang the clipboards on the wall. That way there is absolutely no wall damage when things change.
Step 4: Place Printables Underneath Clip. After you have downloaded and printed your artwork, trim them if necessary. Then slide them onto the clipboards.
Step 5: Enjoy your new art. I really love the look of this art! I think the clipboards are a fun and different way to hang them. The clipboards add a rustic/distressed look that I love. But if that's not your jam, you can use new clipboards and even paint them.
Last month I had floral printables on my clipboards to make this gardening vignette.
