It's always about this time of the season that I am knee deep in decorating, gift shopping, baking, gift wrapping and all of that jolly good stuff. I'm pretty tired and tapped out mentally and financially. That's why this is such a great and easy project and you can't get much cheaper than free.
And I always love vintage. All vintage all the time. But sometimes, vintage isn't too easy to find, so that's why I created these Christmas Flashcards in vintage style.
Directions for Cutting Out Printable Flash Cards
Download Flash Cards.
Print Flash cards on white cardstock. Then cut around the flash cards with paper trimmer.
After trimming excess paper, round corners with paper punch.
How to Decorate with Vintage Style Flashcards for Christmas
Once you've printed and prepared the flashcards, they are ready to augment your Christmas decorations. They are super easy to tuck in here and there.
In our kitchen on our counter top riser, next to my new Santa cookie jar, I placed a Cookies flash card into a wooden holder. To round out the vignette, I hung metal cookie cutters from a small peg shelf.
Speaking of the riser, I am thrilled with it still. It works so well to give added space in our rather small kitchen.
On the shelving unit in our dining room, I showcased my thermos collection. On the next shelf, I placed a bunch of milk glass vases sporting shiny brite ornaments.
Also on the lower shelf, I placed a gathering of 25's. There are vintage gas station numbers, wooden numbers painted in red and green and vintage wooden children's blocks. I placed a Christmas flash card in a vintage floral frog.
I also used one of the flash cards in our living room in a display with a bunch of my vintage Santa figurines. I placed a Santa flash card in a vintage folding ruler.
