At the beginning of the New Year, everyone has the best intentions to get organized and for me that starts with a new calendar. For the past year, I have been using a week-at-a-glance calendar and I really like it for planning and gathering family memories. So this year I designed my own and am offering it as a Free Printable.

First of all, why do you need a calendar? Because time is fleeting and the best way to keep track of it is to well, to Keep Track of the Days with a calendar.
“Don’t count every hour in the day. Make every hour in the day count.” – Alfred Binet.
I have been using planners/calendars for years. I have even offered a free printable calendar before. But my needs change from year to year and I have a heck of a time trying to find one that fits those needs perfectly. I mean, I just don't think perfect is too much to ask. haha. This year rather than buy a ton of different models, I made my own and it was way easier than I though it would be. And since it is the perfect calendar, I am offering it as a Free Printable.
Week-at-a-Glance Free Printable Calendar
I designed this calendar, printed it out and have been using it for a few weeks. AND IT WORKS! I am using it to
collect memories just like I did last year. I really like also having a spot that I can keep track of my to do list and our weekly photo collage.
How to Use a Free Printable Week at a Glance Calendar
Download your copies of the calendar and to do list, at the above links and print them out. I used
regular printer paper, but you could use cardstock if you prefer a sturdier paper.
Each morning it has become somewhat of a ritual as I go about planning my day to fill out my calendar as a memory planner. As I said in
this post, I like to write down the activities our family does, what we have for dinner and special events. Then I jazz up the pages with
planner stickers. Oh and for sure, you need to use
these pens. They are the best!
I haven't fully decided what I will do with the loose sheets of my planner. One option is to have it all spiral bound at the office supply store.
For now, I am tucking the weekly pages into a cheap monthly planner I got at the dollar store. I like having the month at a glance in the calendar for planning purposes and then I can tuck my finished week at a glance sheets inside.
To hold the loose pages, I made paper clip flags. The large clips hold the weekly pages in my monthly calendar and keep it all nice and neat. I put one on the to do list side and one on the weekly side.
To make the paper clip flags, tear off a length of washi tape, about 3 inches long. Loop it through the top of the paper clip and fold the washi tape on itself. Trim an arrow point in the ends of the washi tape as long as you'd like the flag to be.
The large paper clips hold the papers in place well enough that the calendar can be closed. Not that this one ever really gets closed because mostly it stays open on my desk.
These Week at a Glance Free Printable Sheets make the perfect place to plan your week and/or keep track of your memories.
