Hello and welcome to week 2 of studying Come Follow Me!  This is an excellent resource for getting into a study program to help you become closer to Christ!  Every time I study the scriptures, I learn new things and find insights that help strengthen my testimony.  That is my hope for you too!

What is Come Follow Me?  

Several years ago, the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints shifted the focus on gospel learning from church to home.  But they didn't leave us without a resource to do that.  We were given the Come Follow Me program.  

Come Follow Me is for anyone who wants to study the Doctrine and Covenants—individually, as a family, and in Church classes. If you haven’t studied the scriptures regularly in the past, this resource can help you get started. If you already have a good habit of scripture study, this resource can help you have more meaningful experiences.

The manual goes on to say that the ideal place to learn the gospel is at home. Your teachers at church can support you, and you can get encouragement from other ward members. But to survive spiritually, each of us needs daily nourishment from “the good word of God” 

When I first read that I was super nervous because I don't feel capable to be the teacher for my family.  It seems like a pretty big responsibility.  But the Lord knew we would need help and that is why we have the Come Follow Me program.  

We can use this resource in any way that is helpful to us (and our family's). The outlines highlight some eternal truths found in the Doctrine and Covenants. They also suggest ideas and activities to help you study the scriptures individually, with family members, or with friends. As you study, follow the Spirit’s guidance to find eternal truths that are meaningful to you. Look for God’s messages for you, and follow the promptings you receive.

We can do it!  The Lord has faith in us!

Come Follow Me Printable January 6-12

In 2025 we are studying Doctrine and Covenants and Church History.  Each week we are given scriptures, quotes and other resources to help us with our gospel learning.  To help my family, I take the information from the week's lesson and format it into a succinct page that I can hang on our fridge. It has helped my family so much that I want to share in hopes that it will help you and your family too. 

  

How to Save and Print the Come Follow Me Printable 

I can only give directions for Windows application, because that is all I know how to do.  Bless my heart.  

• Right click on the image above.  When the menu pops up, click Save Image As and assign it a place to save on your computer.  I organize my photos by year, by month and then by subject.  I keep a "Come Follow Me" folder in each month of photos on my computer.  
• Print out the printable on printer paper.  This is the printer I use.  
• Hang it somewhere in your house that your family can see often.  I hang mine on our fridge, right above the water dispenser with these magnets.
• This is the most important one - Feel good that you've made an effort to do Come Follow Me for the week!  :)

I am so thankful for the Come Follow Me program.  I feel like my gospel learning and personal testimony of the Savior has grown by leaps and bounds as I study and learn.  It doesn't hurt that printables, manuals, podcasts and other resources (check out the bottom of this post for a list of those resources) are available to enhance our learning.  Thank goodness!  I am so excited to study the this year.  I will be making Free Printables for Come Follow Me Doctrine and Covenants each week.  I hope you'll join me!
