How to Make a Shamrock Planter
My favorite projects have the following in common: simple, holiday, inexpensive and this shamrock planter checks all of those boxes! Let me show you how to make one!
Materials Needed for Shamrock Planter
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare the Cauldron – To make the plastic cauldron a little bit fancier, I used a little bit of rub and buff to bring out the details around the lip, the handle and the little faux handles on the side.
- Place Foam into Cauldron- Cut down pieces of foam into little chunks and hot glue them into the cauldron. Then place a blob of hot glue on top and add some Spanish moss to cover the foam.
- Plant the Shamrock Pick or use Faux Greenery- Carefully cut down the shamrock pick and place it into the foam. If you are using faux greenery, poke pieces into the foam until your cauldron is filled to your liking.
- Final Adjustments – Arrange everything to your liking, ensuring a full and festive look. If you'd like, you can make a little flag to go in the planter as well.
