Here's a method to save money while getting
a new look for your home.
Redoing, Rearranging and Repurposing furniture
pieces to fit other rooms in your home is one of the
best ways to get a new look for no money!
And it's super fun to boot!
Today I'm sharing my
Farmhouse Shelving unit.
I recently redid the shelving unit in our
dining room to give it more farmhouse style,
using items I already had in my home.
Use favorite items from around your home.
If you're not a decor hoarder like I am,
you can purchase inexpensive items with
a 40% off coupon from Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
Also check out the thrift store or
online yard sale pages.
The shelving unit is originally from IKEA, many years ago.
It's a very lightweight metal bookshelf.
I added wood to the tops of the metal shelves.
I LOVE these fresh tulips I was sent from FTD.
Check out the Valentine Collection here.
I made the chippy candle sticks by
cutting down old stair spindles.
I can't get enough of these tulips!
They are just gorgeous!
As you can see on one of the shelves,
I am trying my hand at growing
some shoots from one of my other plants.
I don't have much of a green thumb, so we'll see how it goes!
I have some of my collection of wooden
cutting boards on this shelf too.
And that's how I styled my farmhouse shelving unit
without spending any money!

ReplyDeleteI am in love with your chopping board collection Candice !!
ReplyDeleteI love the gather sign. I have yet to find a weigh scale that I like. I saw two recently but the face was cracked on both of them. Your gathering of similar coloured objects and the pop of colour from the tulips is really well done. Thank you for sharing.
