Rainbow Wooden Table Runner

This Spring I am all about the Rainbow Colors. I'm loving the bright colors after a long winter!
See Rainbow Pom Pom Cone Holder and Lighted Rainbow Fabric Banner I wanted to bring some rainbow colors and something a little different than fabric onto my dining room table. So I decided to make a Rainbow Wooden Table Runner for Spring.
I found a piece of wood in my garage. It was a 1"x8"X48". The wood was originally from another project so it was already painted white. I wiped it down and it was ready to go. If your wood isn't repurposed from another project, you can paint it white or black, or stain it.
Tape off a stripe with painters tape. I didn't measure; I just eyeballed it.
Paint stripes in all of the rainbow colors with acrylic paint.
Repeat the stripes with all of the colors in the rainbow.
After the paint was dry, sand the edges to give it a distressed look. I used a mouse sander.
Wipe all of the saw dust off and paint a sealant coat on the Wooden Table Runner.
Glue feet onto the bottom of the Wooden Table Runner. I used wooden ball knobs.
And Ta Dah! The board is done and makes a perfect table runner!
I added some beautiful Spring flowers to the runner on my dining room table.
I love the way it turned out! It looks so good with the other Rainbow and St Patrick's Day Decorations I have displayed.
