Book Page Stars on a Table Centerpiece

I love to decorate and craft. But when I make something, I like it to be useful. And it cannot interfere with our life. When I was thinking about table centerpieces, I had to keep all of that in mind because no centerpiece will work if it prevents us from eating at our table.
See a tutorial for how I stripped and restained our kitchen table
Supplies needed for Book Page Stars Table Centerpiece
- empty glass jars - bonus points for repurposing old food jars (mason jars available here)
- book page paper- 2nd set of bonus points for reusing old books
- star punch
- circle punch
- scissors
- glue stick
- twine
- rice to fill jar - or can use any other jar filler like sand, rocks or rainbow rice
How to make Book Page Star Jars
From recipe book page paper, cut hand drawn stars and use the star punch to get smaller stars. Use the circle punch to make a circle with a star on the inside.
Apply stars to cleaned glass jar with a glue stick.
Tie twine around jar with large star.
Add rice to the jars and then add candles.
Ta dah! I grouped all of the jars onto my table.
It adds interest to place them on different levels. I displayed these jars on my table with my collection of repurposed metal pieces onto a farmhouse table board for height.
This book page star table centerpiece was very easy and inexpensive to whip up. It only required supplies I had on hand and probably took a total of 15 minutes to do. Its neutral colored so it can stay up and displayed for any month and season.
Don't go yet, it's the 2nd week of the month and time for a #inspiremycreativity link party.
