Listen I get it, we are in the middle of the summer and it's been hot for 700 days. I am tired of being hot. I'm tired of being busy. Frankly I'm just tired. But one thing I don't tire of is working on my relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ.
But that doesn't mean it's super easy, because it requires effort. With just a small bit of effort, you can print this Come Follow Me Study sheet to help with your scripture study this week.
Come Follow Me
Several years ago, the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints made an inspired change to how gospel doctrine is taught by shifting the focus of learning to be in the home instead of church. We use a Home Centered, Church Supported program, called Come Follow Me.
In the opening pages of the Come Follow Me manual it states, "...the kind of gospel learning that strengthens our faith and leads to the miracle of conversion doesn’t happen all at once. It extends beyond a classroom into an individual’s heart and home. It requires consistent, daily efforts to understand and live the gospel. True conversion requires the influence of the Holy Ghost."
With this focus, I think it shows how much faith God has in us to be responsible for our own gospel learning. We need daily opportunities to learn and feel the spirit.
"...in our efforts to live, learn, and teach the gospel, we should first and foremost seek the companionship of the Spirit. This goal should govern our choices and guide our thoughts and actions. We should seek after whatever invites the influence of the Spirit and reject whatever drives that influence away—for we know that if we can be worthy of the presence of the Holy Ghost, we can also be worthy to live in the presence of Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ."
Come Follow Me Printable July 21-27
In 2025 we are studying Doctrine and Covenants and Church History. Each week we are given scriptures, quotes and other resources to help us with our gospel learning. To help my family, I take the information from the week's lesson and format it into a succinct page that I can hang on our fridge. It has helped my family so much that I want to share in hopes that it will help you and your family too.
How to Save and Print the Come Follow Me Printable
I can only give directions for Windows application, because that is all I know how to do. Bless my heart.
- Right click on the image above. When the menu pops up, click Save Image As and assign it a place to save on your computer. I organize my photos by year, by month and then by subject. I keep a "Come Follow Me" folder in each month of photos on my computer.
- Print out the printable on printer paper. This is the printer I use.
- Hang it somewhere in your house that your family can see often. I hang mine on our fridge, right above the water dispenser with these magnets.
- This is the most important one - Feel good that you've made an effort to do Come Follow Me for the week! :)
I love making these printables each Monday morning. I print it out and hang it on my fridge above the water dispenser. It sets the tone for my week and helps me and my family keep these thoughts and ideas in our head.
Since the implementation of Come Follow Me, I feel like my gospel learning and personal testimony of the Savior has grown by leaps and bounds as I study and learn. It doesn't hurt that printables, manuals, podcasts and other resources (check out the bottom of this post for a list of those resources) are available to enhance our learning. Thank goodness!
