It's the end of the summer and time for a recap. This is a month end rundown of blogposts, personal happenings and my favorite products of the summer!

I don't even know where the summer went. It seems like I blinked and it's August 30. It was such a crazy time that I didn't get my monthly recaps done, so I am doing an entire summer recap.
In 2024 I am doing a monthly recap on my blog to try to stop the blur of how quickly life goes. I will be recapping blog posts, my favorite things of the month and some of the things we did.
End of the Summer Months Recap
Our summer involved family time, my daughter's mission, Girls Camp, working, dying of heat, getting a new car and working on our house.
My daughter was called to the Utah, Layton mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My son and his wife were able to come to TN to visit right before she left. It was so fun to have the whole family back together again. We snapped a few family pics, which made my mama heart so happy!
The Layton LDS temple was being dedicated right when my daughter got to the mission field. She was able to help with the dedication. And she had the amazing opportunity to meet Elder Bednar. She is loving serving as a missionary. She was recently made a Sister Training Leader.
We got a new (to us) car! Our other car had been stolen and broken into. I was so tired of worrying about it so we traded it in to get a new one. I got this Chrysler Pacifica because the 3rd and 2nd row of seating fold down so I can haul all of my antiques. I love this car sooooo much!
In July I attended Girls Camp. I serve in my ward YW program and I also served on the Stake Camp Committee. It was A LOT. It was HOT! But man oh man, do I love the young women in our area. We had such a good time in spite of the heat, broken water pipes, freak rain storm, backed up drains, and uncomfortable beds. We crafted, we laughed, we danced and most of all, we built our testimonies of Jesus Christ!
Now that we only have 1 kid at home, who doesn't want anything to do with his boring parents, my husband and I spend our Saturday mornings going on adventures. Usually it is estate sales and thrift stores (yes he's a good sport) but this time we went to Vintage Market Days of Nashville. It was so much fun and I came away inspired for my own booths.
In August, the water line in our fridge leaked and ruined all of the wood flooring in our kitchen and dining room. Since we had to remove the flooring, I decided to do a little remodel. So far I have relocated the pantry, torn out the old one (yes I removed walls), and ordered new appliances. I will still be installing a new piece of cabinetry, new countertops, a new sink and faucet, and eventually new flooring.
Summer Favorite Products
I bought soooo much stuff over the summer. Sure, half of it was for Girls Camp. But I'm pretty sure the Amazon guy knows exactly where my house is now.
I knew it was going to be hot at Girls Camp. And I knew the shower situation was going to be rocky. So I took these
Body Wipes and
Anti Monkey But powder. They both helped the sweat and dirty situation a lot! I would 100% recommend them!
I accidentally stepped on and broke my old phone tripod. So I purchase
this Tripod for my iPhone. It's a recent purchase but so far I love it!
When I got back from camp, I rewarded myself with 2 things I'd been wanting. A new
Make up Bag that holds all of my brushes separately, which I love. I also got
this C necklace and this
Initial C necklace. I wear them every day and love them.
I love having my lashes lifted and tinted but I don't want to have to go have them done all the time. I bought this
Lash lift kit and it works SO well. I had to do one eye at a time so I could see as I did them on myself, but the lift lasted for a while. Which reminds me, I need to go do them again.
Summer Blog Posts
Since May, June, July and August went by in the blink of an eye, I didn't get as many blog posts done as I would have liked. But I DID make sure I got all of my Come Follow Me posts done each week no matter how busy I was.
Come Follow Me Blog Posts
I hope the Summer was great for you and I hope you are looking forward to fall. I sure am! I can't wait for cooler temps (it's 100 degrees today), decorating for fall and Halloween, working my booths and getting our kitchen remodel done! I'll see ya next month and we'll recap September!
