printable weekly calendar

My kids are back in school and our schedule is
 B U S Y !!
We have kids at 3 different schools, in 2 different football programs,
science club, early morning seminary, scouts, youth activities, band, etc etc.
I'm sure you can relate!
I needed a way to keep track of it all, and I have found something that works for our family.

Google Calendar and a weekly printable calendar.

Favorite Things: end of summer edition

Happy First day of September!
It's still a million degrees here in TN, so it doesn't feel like Fall yet, but I know it's coming soon.

Today I'm sharing some of my favorite things that I enjoyed over the summer.

How to make a Pin Cushion for a sewing machine

Guys I've done it-  I've solved a major problem!!   I figured out how to keep from losing my pins when sewing, I made a Pin cushion that attaches to my sewing machine.

How to connect with your kids after school, or any time

Now that my kids are back in school, they spend most of their day away from me.
They have conversations I never hear, meet people I've never seen and generally have a life that I don't know much about.  That makes me sad!
And I really want to know what they've been doing all day at school.

Since my kids are car riders,
I always pester them inquire about their day when I pick them up from school.
At first, I asked them simple yes/no questions.

I was really disappointed with the one word answers I was getting.
So I had to get smarter about the questions I was asking and make a few guidelines.

Hanging towels with ribbon

Do you constantly have to pick up towels from your bathroom floor?
If you have children, I'm sure you do.

I used to, until I figured out that our towels will hang better if there is
something to hang them with.

And with ribbon, the hanging is cute too!

Summer recap

Well, hello there!
Long time, no see!

After a busy (and kinda quick) summer, I am back to update what we've been up to.

Harry Potter art

I am a gigantic Harry Potter fan!!
This month is his birthday, so like in years past, I'm doing a project
in honor of one of my favorite books!

Since my daughter is a huge fan too, I made an art piece for her wall
with a favorite Harry Potter saying.
