If you're looking for Girls Camp Ideas, you have come to the right place. Planning a girls camp can feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to make it meaningful, fun, and memorable all at once. Over the past few years, we've shared a variety of ideas—from devotionals to crafts to outdoor adventures—and now it's time to bring it all together in one helpful roundup post!
Whether you're a seasoned camp director or planning your very first event, this post is packed with inspiration to help you create a camp experience the girls will never forget.
For the past several years, I have attended Girls Camp with the Young Women of my stake. I have gone as a cabin mom, Young Women's president, Stake YW Presidency member and as a member of the Stake Camp Committee. So that is my way of saying I have some experience. Ha! Actually, while I LOVE the young women, I'm not going to lie, Girls Camp is not my favorite. One thing that has helped me is to do crafts and fun handouts and have some ideas of what to expect at camp. So that's what this post is, all in one place.
New Tip: I have also learned in the past 2 years to pack all of your stuff in large totes,
like these, instead of luggage. Totes are so much easier to dig through in a small space, your stuff stays safe from bugs and critters, they are stackable and can be used as a bedside table or chair in a pinch.
Decorating Ideas
Whenever I talk about camp to my husband, he wonders why in the world we decorate. He can't seem to understand why we would use time, energy and money on decorations. But as a girl, decorations are an important part of any party.
Craft Ideas
You all know, crafting is my jam. I love teaching others about crafting! So getting to do crafts at Girls Camp is such a treat. It a l m o s t makes it worth it to go to camp!
Handouts for Adults
Going to camp as an adult is a huge sacrifice (see above paragraph where I say that I don't love Girls Camp). It's a week off work or regular life, sleeping on a cot in a room with a bunch of other people, being super busy, looking after other children that are not your own, working really hard to make it fun and so much more. I've always thought this and once I became a leader in charge of camp, I always found it important to thank the leaders who make the sacrifice to go to camp!

Handouts for Young Women
One of the fun parts of Girls Camp is the little daily treats or pillow presents cabin moms/yw leaders give to their yw each day.
Girls Camp is a very special time. It's a week away from the world for each young women and adult to work on their relationships with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and their peers. Special things happen at Girls Camp. And ... I think it is worth all the hard work, the sleepless nights, the bugs, the 20000+ steps a day, the blood, sweat and tears may just be worth it. (Don't tell my leaders I said that because I already told them I am not going to camp next year!) If you are lucky enough to go to Girls Camp, you will leave a different person!
